An introduction to Budgeting
Ensuring that you Budget for your expenses and that you keep within your
Income is essential.
All of us realize that we could probably do a better job of managing our
family’s money if we only had a better idea of where we spent it all in the
first place! Most of us do a very poor job of tracking what happens to our
flexible income. That shortcoming makes it impossible for us to construct an
accurate budget, which we certainly need if we hope to build a healthy bit of
savings.
Everyone should take a few days to a week and make a commitment to tracking how
they spend that seemingly trivial money. The final numbers always tend be a
shock. You can use a free tracking tool like those provided in some of the
better personal finance resources to do it right.
After we know our expenses, we will be better able to budget, find places to
save and develop a real savings plan.
The tools and advice provided in this section will assist you in doing so.
As always we recommend that you seek professional advice and guidance before
entering into any arrangements or agreements.
