Tough guys with tattoos are a thing of the past. These days geeks are covering their bodies with their own labels – from computer logos to scientific language.
The traditional British bulldog, the words "love and hate", or various Celtic symbols were once favourite tattoos, often used to convey a hard man image.
But now the art form is being taken over by IT whizz kids who are emblazoning their arms and torsos with images from their laptops or inside their text books.

One computer nerd said: "I got a tattoo last year to celebrate my company's launch of a new piece of software.
"I plan on building my software tattoo collection in the future, and then having a more recognisable 'geek' ink."

nardはいわゆるアニメやゲームおたくっぽくてgeekはコンピューターおたくっぽい人っておおまかにわかれているみたいですが、区別があるのか？
最近の海外のタトゥーはほんとにデザインも多種多様で可愛くて、憧れるものも多いのですが、コンピューター記号のタトゥーを見るのは初めてで驚きです。いまや刺青は男らしさの象徴からコンピューターおたくらしさの象徴へ、時代は変わる！

Tree house 'ideal for first-time buyers' sells for £7,600£
Tree houses are meant for children, but this "log cabin" has been sold on eBay after being advertised as an ideal home for fist-time buyers.

本来木の家というのは子ども向けなものですが、このログキャビンはeBay上で初めて家をかう人にもお勧めと広告されていたものです。
その詳細については-長さ12.6ｍ、豪華なベッド型で本体は広々-約１０８万7千円でオンラインオークションに掛けられていました。

The property – which is 42 ft in length and around as spacious as a luxury coach – sold for £7,600 on the online auction website.

It even comes with wheels already attached so the new owners can tow it to wherever they want to live.

But anyone attracted by the idea of living inside a tree should not get too excited – the home may look like a hollowed-out trunk but has actually been constructed from plywood, foam and fibreglass.

The tree house was originally used to promote environmental tourism on the Australian island state of Tasmania but was put up for sale earlier this month by its most recent owner, the entrepreneur Alan Jennison.

"Add some plumbing and windows and live in tremendous style," the advert stated. "Buy a block of land, site this log on it, bit of work and you have your house."

The cabin sparked a small-scale bidding war between two interested parties after being featured in the local press, eventually selling for AU $14,000.95.

it would make an "incredible" house for anyone struggling to get on the property ladder…property ladder？ここは相当意訳になっちゃってます。英語力…それで結局10倍くらいになっちゃったとはすごいですね。108万で自分の家が手にはいるんなら、見た目ちょっと変でも結構お得かななんて思いますが、1000万でそのお家に住むのはどうか。オークションの引くに引かない感も感じる、ちょっとメルヘンなお家のニュースでした。
