Lisa Courtney is listed as having the biggest Pokémon collection in the world – 12,113 items – in the new edition of the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition, published today.

The 21-year-old, from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, has spent 13 years building up the collection which she said has swelled to more than 13,400 since it was counted by Guinness record-checkers last year and fills most of the house she shares with mother Sharon.
''To be in the new Gamer's Edition and to hold a world record for something you feel so passionate about is just an indescribable feeling,'' she said.

リサ・コートニーさんは今日付けのギネスで、12,113点のポケモングッズを収集したことを記録されました。
イギリスのウェルウィン・ガーデン・シティー出身、21歳の彼女は13年かけてこのコレクションを集めました。昨年ギネスに申請した12,113点のコレクションからさらに現在は13,400点にと膨らみ続けていて、彼女がお母さんと暮らしている家のほとんどにアイテムは溢れかえっているそうです。
〝ギネスに入れて世界記録をもつほどに夢中になれるものがあるってとても素敵な気持ちね〟とリサさんは話します。

''My family have been incredibly supportive considering the collection takes up the whole house, including my mother's room!
''I've even named the room where my main collection resides Pokemon Centre Europe.''
Miss Courtney began her love affair with Pokémon when she saw a picture of Pikachu in a Nintendo magazine and started collecting even though she had no idea what the characters were.
''My favourite is a plush toy of the character Absol,'' she said.
''I fell in love with it.''

〝家族はポケモングッズが家中を占拠してしまうほど（特にお母さんの部屋に）の事態となっても信じられないほど（コレクションを集める事を）応援してくれていたの。私はポケモンコレクションのメインになっている部屋をヨーロッパポケモンセンターって名付けたわ。〟
彼女は任天堂マガジンに載っていたピカチュウを見て、ポケモンに夢中になりました。そして何のキャラか判らない状態でもコレクションを始めました。
〝一番のお気に入りはビロード製のアブソルなの。恋に落ちてしまっているの。〟

She said she will never get bored of collecting: ''There's always something new coming out in Japan. There's so much out there.''
Miss Courtney has been to Japan five times and plans to go back this year for another ''spending spree''.
She is learning Japanese and hopes to one day become a Japanese teacher.
彼女はコレクションすることに飽きる事はないと話します。

彼女はすでに5回日本にいった事があり、今年も日本で「豪勢な散財」を計画しています。彼女は日本語を勉強していて、将来は日本語の教師を目指しています。

床から壁まで全てがポケモングッズ！以前200円のガチャで自分が殿堂入りさせたポケモン全てを集めようという情熱に駆られて1000円くらいのとこでやっぱお金がもったいないなとあきらめた事のある私的には本当に驚きです（いや、誰でも驚くか・ギネスだし）いつまでも人気のあせることないピカチュウ恐るべし。キャラデザインされた方もこんなに愛されててるだなんて、なんだか感動ですね。
こんかいギネスに載られたLisaさんも将来は世界記録を持ってる日本語教師として、ポケモンを愛しながら活躍されるといいですね。
